Fare Thee Well October

October has been an incredibly strange month for me, filled with both good and bad times. Like an emotional roller coaster from start to finish! It’s definitely safe to say it’s been very stressful for me. I feel like I’ve been stretched in every direction, while simultaneously running, or in my case biking (haha Denmark jokes)around everywhere. And although it’s been good to get back to Denmark, back to my family and back to autumn time, Halloween and Supernatural season 14, it’s also been very challenging. I am however, incredibly happy and thankful to be back and I feel like a lot of things are looking up for me. I have so many ideas that I want to try to explore in the future and my blog is definitely a big part of that.

The move was probably the biggest thing that happened for me in October. I had been planning it in excruciating detail from the beginning but it was still super stressful. It went mostly according to plan though and despite a few hiccups here and there, I still managed to get my things all the way from Brighton to Denmark.
After that it was mostly just a question of unpacking what I needed right then and there, as well as finding a place to store the rest. All of which was relatively easy and I got it done without any problems.
On a seperate note: I still can’t help but be excited about the prospect of having to go furniture shopping again and have the freedom of designing my own place, exactly the way I want it. It’s something I’ve been craving and I can’t wait to show it to you guys when it all finally comes together! I actually made a short autumn home decor edit post about it, that you can read here as well if you fancy.

44924729_711091475920430_366482296577982464_nleaf03After that, October became mostly about meeting up with people I hadn’t seen in ages and generally just enjoying the amazing weather we had. The beginning of October was full of sunshine and almost 20 degrees! It was pure bliss!! So naturally I took a lot of long walks in the forests, sometimes even with puppies, and celebrated Halloween with some pumpkin carving that sadly never made it into a video. I’ll try to be better about that next year, I promise!

Generally it’s been, like I said in the beginning, quite the rollercoaster ride from start to finish. Now the plan is to get a schedule going. Something that can add a little bit of structure into my every day life and make it easier to keep up with posting, blogging, vlogging, etc. As well as give me the time to hang out with friends and family (and keep up with my second job!).
I’m looking forward to it and I hope you are too! And thank you for all of your amazing support throughout it all. I know I say that a lot, but I really mean it!
This blog has sort of become my safe haven. Its been a weird little experiment that over time, turned itself into a more serious thing. I absolutely LOVE doing it and I want to continue doing it as best I can, so thank you again from the bottom of my heart, and cheers to October, Halloween and all that it brought with it!

xoxo

October has been a big time for me as well, I got into a relationship, I went through an emotional phase but I’m all good. As well as other things, the count down for bonfire is on! I go to a log cabin with my family every year but this is not the focus for this comment. I wanted to ask what you thought on the GBBO final results? Lots of people are angry about it but I don’t get why. I mean Ruby should have gone after 3 weeks of fails but that’s my opinion. Anyway, glad your happy now 🙂

I didn’t actually have the opportunity to watch it but I did hear that a lot of people didn’t like the result. I believe Rahul won? I mean, he was one of my favorites so I don’t mind that much but if he wasn’t deserving of it then it’s another story. Still, I didn’t watch it so I feel like I should say too much haha. Happy Halloween!

Yeah he did. Apparently it was fixed and he cheated which I don’t believe he did. I loved him from the start. Have a nice Halloween, I’ve dressed up as a were-cat, I scared a few kids…. Oops. 🙂

I honestly love October, and usually its my favourite month, but it’s been a little hectic and emotional for me too this year. I’m looking forward to turning the page and starting fresh in November. I’ve also finally saved up enough money to travel for the first time ever, so I’m excited for that! Hope you keep taking care of yourself. Thanks for the post, and I’m looking forward to your next one!

Well, I REALLY want to give the blog a make over and give it a couple of extra features that I’ve really been wanting to give it for a long time. Hopefully it works out haha!

Your photography is so gorgeous! So happy the move went well!! I just moved too, still within the same state in the U.S but oof. So many boxes. I think my cat is still mad about it, haha!

October went past way too quickly, wow. I can’t believe we’re on the last day already. It’s been full of stress and fun for me. School does that to you :/ This week has been/still is being one of the roughest weeks for me school-wise. I still have a test and a job interview tomorrow, so wish me luck.

I’m so glad you’ve settled in well! Denmark looks so pretty, I hope I can visit there one day. It sounds like you’ve got quite the busy schedule coming up. Good luck! I hope everything goes well for you. It sounds like you’re excited for what’s next and that’s so nice to hear. I’m excited to see what comes next from you too. Happy Halloween!

I’m glad the move went as smoothly as it could! October was an odd month for me as well, with trying to find a job in the field I’m going into, and being rejected countless times. I’m still hanging in there!
Hope your November is just as good.

I’m glad that your move was successful and I hope your weather continues to stay nice! Your photos looked absolutely lovely (plus that pup was adorable!) I look forward to whatever you do in the future because I am sure that it will be fantastic! 🙂

    Have a great night!

Hey Signe so glad everything worked out for you !!! Sounds like your doing good which is amazing !! I recently just moved as well and I am still in the mess of unpacking and finding a new job it’s so stressful and I can appreciate how fast you settled into your place ..

  • Hannah H

I always love reading your blog. It’s the only one I actually keep up with. I loved seeing all of your fall photos, since down in southeast Georgia we don’t really get any fall colors. Your blog and your videos are always a delight, and I look forward to keeping up with your adventures Signe!!

  • voidskelly

So sad that October is gone! It feels like it just started, somehow. But here’s to a good November! Your blog is just filled with good vibes lately and I’m really loving the atmosphere, so much so that when I see there’s been an update, I drop everything to give it a read. It’s like a slice of life in a little mug, and in the hustle and bustle of how my life’s been lately, it’s just comforting.

Best of luck to you in all of your job-juggling–I know that can’t be fun! I’m a full-time student with a part time job so finding time to breathe, let alone work on stuff you want, can be very difficult. You’re doing a great job though and I couldn’t be more excited for the places you’ll go!

Thank you for being you! Can’t wait to see what you put out next, girlie! ❤❤

I am glad to hear you are doing well, and that you seemed inspired to pursue your creativity!
You and a few others definitely inspired me to finally create and run my blog and I found a passion for it. I hope you have found your passions too!

Honestly decorating your own place is so great. Have fun! Make sure to share what you come up with. Having your own space can prove to be motivating.

    • wiishu

Thanks, I will do my best!
Having your own space is definitely motivating and I love browsing stores so it can only be fun. Besides, It’ll be interesting to try and find something that reflects me and my “home style” best so I look forward to that!

  • Mikayla

I’ve gotta say, I know exactly how you feel Signe. October wasn’t really a good one for me either, mostly because of work related issues but the end of the month has gotten so much better! I was recently hired at my favourite childhood toy store and I’m super excited to start working there!

Hopefully November will be a much better month for you, because you deserve all the happiness and support in the world. I can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for everyone! ❤️

  • Natichuarz

Nice pictures, October is one of the nicest month to go for long qalks with the dog. I love it! You mentioned a sexond job, and I was just wondering what are your first and second jobs?

  • Mille

Hi Signe! I know this might not be the right forum/post for it, but you were talking about moving, so I thought I would take the chance. I’m moving from Copenhagen to Brighton after Christmas (6 months uni abroad). I have still to find a place to stay. – I’m just really confused about the layout of Brighton, where would one prefer to live? In what neighborhood did you stay – did you enjoy it there? Are there parts of the city you would recommend more than others? You are the only one I “know” who has any connection to Brighton. And you always talk fondly about your time there – as always love the tone and style of your blogging <3

    • wiishu

Hey Mille, that sounds awesome and I hope you find something soon! I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Brighton but apartment hunting there can be a pain in the a** sometimes. There are certainly parts of Brighton that are nicer than others but I would say it all comes down to your budget as well as how far out of town you’re willing to go.
I’m sorry I can’t help more but I hope it all works out for you!

    Hey Signe,
I just wanted to say that I really admire you and you inspire me so much with your blog! I have been following your blog and youtube for a while now and I think you are honestly the most beautifull woman I have ever seen! I really hope you are doing okay 🙂 it’s probably gonna sound weird but you have helped me a lot lately. I’m trying to start a new part in my life as well. I have been struggling with depression, self harm and anxiety since I was 13. I became 18 this June and wanted to trow my life around, and it’s not easy but when I see how positive you are and seeing you looking forward it inspires me to do the same! I know this message is probably stupid but I don’t have a lot of people to talk to, and to re-read your tips, story’s , and positivity on a bad day makes it easier to get trough. so I just wanted to say thank you! And I can’t wait to see what your gonna do next 🙂 x Cait
